Before Porting
   
1. What is MNP?
  Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is the ability for users to switch to a new mobile service provider, while retaining their existing Mobile number.
   
2. How Can I Port?
 
You will have to go to the new mobile service provider's Service Centre or Authorized Dealer to request for number porting.
Fill up a Service Registration Form and sign Terms and Conditions and provide relevant supporting documents. You will be issued with a new SIM card.
Upon approval, the new mobile service provider will inform you that you have successfully ported when the new SIM card is activated.
   
3. Why I should Port?
  You have a freedom of choice to choose a new service provider that could give you more benefits.
   
4. What is the porting duration?
  For consumer, it will take 1-5 days for Non-Consumer, between 1-15days.
   
5. Who can part?
  Both prepaid and postpaid users can port. Business/Corporate account holders can also port, subject to the guidelines below.
   
6. What do you need to know if Dealer approaches you before port out?
 
i. You need to understand/be aware that all call charges and packages offered by the new mobile service provider may differ from your current mobile service provider. Choose wisely.
ii. You must ensure port is transaction is as per your request. e.g. Port in from prepaid to postpaid.
   
7. What are the criteria of successful porting?
 
i. No overdue amount
ii. No outstanding contract obligations
iii. Supplementary number needs to ported together
iv. Service subscriptions with additional number issued to the account e.g. data, fax, and other value added services must be migrated
v. Credit Limit not exceeded
vi. Account is active
   
8. What is the porting Fee?
  Porting fee is FOC until further notice.
   
During Porting
   
1. Will I receive any SMS notification about the status of my port request?
  Yes, you will receive the SMS notification as below:
 
   
Consumer
i. Successful/Failed Validation
  "Dear customer, your Celcom port request has been accepted & activation is in progress. A SMS confirmation to change SIM card will be sent to you within 24 hrs. Thank You!
   
ii. Upon Failed Validation
  "Dear customer, your Celcom port request has been rejected by your previous service provider. Please contact Celcom for further details @ 1300-111-000.Thank You!
   
iii. Upon Successful Provisioning
  "Congratulations! Your Celcom service has been activated. Please insert your Celcom SIM card now to start enjoying the Fastest Network, Widest Coverage & Best Rate!
   
Non Consumer
i. Successful/Failed Validation
  "Thank you for your Celcom porting request. Porting ID: Pxxxxxx has been accepted and a SMS confirmation to change SIM card will be send to you within 11 days!
   
ii. Upon Failed Validation
  "Your Celcom Porting OD request: Pxxxxxx has been rejected by your previous service provider. Please contact the assigned Account Manager for further details. Thank You!
   
iii. Upon Successful Provisioning
  "Congratulations! Your Celcom service has been activated. Please insert your Celcom SIM card now to start enjoying the Fastest Network, Widest Coverage & Best Rates"
   
2. Will I face any service interruptions during the porting process?
  There will be no service interruptions from your previous service provider.
   
3. Can I still enjoy the same services offered by my previous service provider?
  No, you won't be able to enjoy the same services offered by your service provider.
   
4. If I am a prepaid user, what will happen to my airtime balance and validity?
  All airtime balance and validity will be forfeited.
   
5. Can I request new services from my New Operator?
  Yes, you can request new services from your new service provider.
   
After Porting
   
1. Which reload card should I purchase after my porting to Celcom is successful?
  You should purchase a Celcom Reload Card.
   
2. Who should I call for any enquiries on MNP?
  You can contact Celcom Careline at 1300-111-000.
   
3. Do I need to settle my outstanding bill with my previous service provider?
  Yes, you need to settle all your outstanding bills with your previous service provider.
   
4. WillI receive a last bill from my previous service provider after porting in?
  Yes, you will receive a last bill from your previous service provider and you need to pay the bills to avoid any service interruption.
